The Fiddlers’ Rally has always been a popular event in the Eden Court calendar and last year saw the Inverness Fiddlers performing for another much appreciated and well attended performance.

Once again the Fiddlers will be joined by fellow enthusiasts from all over Scotland to form an orchestra of around 100 players performing a varied program of traditional music from Scotland and beyond. The Fiddlers’ Rally provides both a visual and a musical spectacle since the performers are tartan-clad for this musical highlight.

Joining the Inverness Fiddlers as Special Guest will be one of Scotland’s most recognised and accomplished fiddle players and composers, Duncan Chisholm. Duncan’s music contains the rarest of chemistries, a glorious combination of invention, tenderness and passion.

Born and brought up near Inverness, Duncan started his musical career in 1990, fronting the band Wolfstone, taking them from playing village halls in the Highlands to performing at festivals and arena’s across the globe. A four time winner of the Scots Trad Music Awards ‘Album of the Year’, Duncan creates music which is sumptuously layered and awash with dazzling colours, textures and rhythms.

With such a personal interest in and connection to the Highland landscape that so deeply inspires him, Duncan instils great pride and passion into recording musical masterpieces influenced by Scotland’s wild places.
