Festival Information
Under Canvas will run from 3 July – 24 August, with sessions taking place from Wednesday to Sunday each week.
Tickets
We encourage you to book in advance as capacity is limited per session. Tickets are general admission only with seating and standing space available - to guarantee a good seat, we recommend arriving early.
Tickets can be booked online or in person. Alternatively, you can call Ticket Sales on 01463 234 234.
Tickets are sold on a Pay What You Can basis. We're committed to making Under Canvas accessible to all so there is a range of ticket options available, as well as a Child ticket option and a no-questions-asked Low Income ticket (limited per session). For carer tickets, please contact our Ticket Sales team.
If you can afford a higher ticket price, your contribution will go directly towards staging the festival and help us employ over 200 artists, as well as event staff.
There are two sessions each day. If you wish to attend both sessions, you must book these separately. You will be asked to leave the tent between each session while cleaning takes place.
Accessing the Festival Area
Access to the festival is via the main paths from Bishops Road. The entrance to the festival tent is wheelchair accessible and located opposite Eden Court's front doors.
Children
Under Canvas is a family-friendly festival. Children of all ages are welcome and they must have a ticket, though their safety and well-being remain the responsibility of accompanying adults. We have a Pay What You Can system for tickets, with a Child ticket option available. For children under 12 months, please contact our Ticket Sales team to book a free baby ticket.
Dogs
Dogs are not permitted inside the tent unless they are service dogs.
Climate Emergency
Eden Court recognises that there is a climate emergency and, as such, Under Canvas continues to develop with the objective of becoming a more sustainable festival.
Our sustainable travel initiatives encourage and support our performers to use as few vehicles as possible. The majority of our food and drink is produced locally, with food packaging and drinking vessels 100% compostable this year through a hot composting process. This year’s event reuses furniture, lighting and design features from previous festivals and sees the use of electric heaters discontinued for a third year, as they are hugely wasteful in terms of CO2 emissions and energy consumption.
We are providing blankets and encourage festivalgoers to bring appropriate clothing if the weather is poor - whilst we’re all keeping our fingers crossed for warm summer nights!
